Supporting Employers to Engage Young People in Meaningful Work Experiences

The Lancashire Hub is partnering with the charity Speakers for Schools to bring local opportunities within the region to our young people.

We would like to invite you, our digital community, to attend an informal workshop and presentation to hear about how you can offer virtual work experience for those young people who need it most.

Students across the UK have missed out on valuable employer engagement and work experience due to the pandemic. Lancashire Hub has the aspiration of supporting at least 300 Lancashire students this academic year to access valuable work experiences and will only be able to do that with the support of local businesses like yours.

Speakers for Schools are already working with over 400 employers nationally to deliver work experience opportunities to their growing network of 2,600 schools and colleges. They can share best practice, provide support to design and deliver opportunities in line with your business priorities and resources.

During the event Speakers for Schools will take you through the process to offering experiences with a demonstration of their portal platform. This will help to increase your understanding of the journey employers need to take to ensure your organisation is able to participate in offering some fantastic engagement with young people via their virtual platform. The session will also be a chance for you to ask any questions and explore how they can support your business.
