BURNLEY-based company, Hospify has secured a vital investment boost of £500,000 for its digital messaging platform dubbed the “WhatsApp of healthcare” that could be critical to the efforts to contain coronavirus.
Hospify is a free messaging app that allows healthcare professionals to communicate with each other and share information about patients safely and securely.
Set up in 2014, the app is already being used in 150 hospitals with many more soon to join them as the battle against Covid-19 intensifies the need for efficient communication.
Hospify CEO and co-founder James Flint said: “Timing has accelerated the adoption of the Hospify platform across the NHS in the UK, and we couldn’t be prouder that our app is playing a vital part in enabling clinicians and patients to communicate across the battlefield of Covid-19.”
