News / An Opportunity for Local Technology Companies to Join the INITIATE Project

Lancaster University are involved in a large distributed testbed looking at future internet technologies through a project called INITIATE. On Monday 16 March 2020, Digital Catapult will host the first INITIATE workshop in London, providing technology companies and SMEs a unique opportunity to meet with academic partners and explore how future internet technologies can enable their business, and allow the development of new products and services.

This is a great opportunity for all technology companies and SMEs who could benefit from future internet technologies from across the UK, including

  • Optical Networks
  • 5G
  • Wireless/RF Communications
  • Internet of Things (IoT)
  • Software-Defined Networking (SDN)
  • Network Function Virtualisation (NFV)
  • Cloud Computing

Companies operating in areas that will be enhanced by these advancements, such as VR/AR, IoT and AI businesses, are welcomed to join and explore how they could benefit from future internet technologies.

We know there are plenty of Lancashire based businesses that would meet the criteria for the workshop so we encourage you to complete the application. You can find full details for the event and information about how to apply here.

Need some assistance with you application? Let us know by emailing and we’ll do our best to support you. You’ve got until Wednesday 11th March to apply for a place at the workshop.
