Your role:

You will be a front end web developer helping us keep the Wigan Council website, its intranet and sub-sites fresh and engaging.

The role covers a variety of aspects of the development life-cycle including design, development, testing and bug fixing.

Using a .Net Content Management System you will develop templates and front end functionality using HTML, CSS, jQuery, Javascript, C#/VB/Razor views and more.

About you:

You will be proficient in client-side scripting and using JavaScript libraries and frameworks, including jQuery and demonstrate that you are passionate about new advances in front end development, UX and design principles.

You will have an excellent knowledge of implementing best practice in building responsive and accessible websites and have significant experience of creating attractive and usable templates.

You will thrive from working in a fast paced environment and will have a keen eye for accuracy and for maintaining quality in all your work.
